The Travels of Two Territorians
Darwin to Broome

In 2005 we travelled the Ocean to Alice a 4wd Trek.
We left Darwin to drive to Eighty Mile Beach in WA, camping along the way. Enjoyed a brief stay in Broome - once again arriving to find we have to stay in an overflow camp site, do not underestimate the popularity of this town. The caravan park at Eighty Mile Beach is excellent, decide the name was chosen because of how far the tide goes out! We fuel up at Sandfire Road House before heading to the turn off to 'WAPET Road' constructed by the West Australia Petroleum Company in early 1960's. It will be 655kms before we can purchase more fuel at a community called Kunawarritji.
this is when we went to the olgas.
